FESTIVALS
              One of the colorful festivals in Quezon Province is the Mayohan Festival. The throwing of “Suman” or rice cake is one of the highlights of the festival while the image of St. Isidore, the town’s patron saint, is presented in a parade touring along the streets of the town. This tradition is being practiced by the residents every year as part of the celebration.

                    Mayohan sa Tayabas is a program of the city government that aims to facilitate the process of conscious recollection among community members. Through a 10-day celebration, from May 6-15, the Tayabanse is guided to honor the glory and bless the wounds and sacrifices of the past.


COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS
                 Convenience is one of the good factors of being a resident of Tayabas. It Is a city in Quezon where everything you need is within reach. Being a legitimate  Tanaueño , I observed a lot of changes from our town.  Victory Mall is one of the Big Project of our Late Tanauan City Mayor Thony Halili . Every year, Alitagtag municipality celebrates the Filipino tradition of Tapusan. And this tradition increasingly flourishing and becomes more vibrant through the years. The Tapusan is held every last day of May. This activity include flower arrangement at church, procession of floats containing floral arrangements, replicas of beautiful landscapes in the Philippines, images and statue of the Virgin Mary and sagala’s of citizens of Alitagtag. In Alitagtag, there is only one road in town, running east to west. Spectators usually go to the middle of the town to catch a glimpse of all eight floats, one for each village or “buklod”. Everybody in the parade walks slowly as they say the rosary. The band will be playing behind the float after each decade of the rosary. It is a very moving and festive experience.
