Marian Orchard is biblical theme park located in the municipality of Balete, Batangas. It was founded by Mr. Lazaro Katigbag in 1980's and eventually tied up with First Asia Institute of Technology and Humanities (FAITH) that led them to come up with one organization Marian Orchard FAITH Association (MOFA), I realized the people behind these organizations must be brilliantly talented in spearheading a nice name. This Catholic recreational landmark serves your best option for a visit during the Lenten Season, on top of that, it is gifted with areas best to capture great memories. Upon entering the premise you will be welcomed by these magnificent looking statues ushering you to see more of what they got for you, they call it The Garden of Saints. After passing these white saintly statues another attraction will steal your interest, the second attraction is the Sacred Heart Chapel overlooking the Sacred Heart Tower that reminds me of Christ the Redeemer of Brazil, just can't help comparing.






Its a nice place, with a chapel surrounded by a beautiful garden. The place is small but it is worth the visit. It is a spiritual sanctuary frequented by Marian devotees and pilgrims visiting the Province of Batangas







The place is open every day from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, including holidays. The entrance fee is 50 pesos, while for Lipa and Balete Residence entrance fee is only 25php. Holy masses are held every first Friday of the month, Saturdays and Sundays at 4:00 PM. During Holy Week, the place opens at 6:00 AM and closes at 7:00 PM from Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday and Black Saturday and Easter Sunday. On Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, it is open from 4:00 AM to 9:00 PM.










Miniature Greek-inspired structures, Risen Christ (Brazil), Saints (Vatican), most of all the tropical flowers were abloom and made the place very colorful.









If you are only planning to visit Marian Orchard, there are other places you can go in Lipa(aside from the classic SM). You can go to the cathedral and also to the Lipa Community Park. There are also lots of stores/tiangge on their public market. There also lots of restaurants nearby. My advice is to just use the google map app and you'll be fine.

- Ride a bus to SM Lipa 140php
- Take a jeepney ride to Jollibee Levitown, 9php
- From there ride a jeepney to Balete Batangas 20php





CINTAI CORITO’S GARDEN





Cintai Corito's Garden is a Bali inspired private property turned into resort located in the province of Balete, Batangas. The resort is made out of love as it was built by the owner's affection for his wife and family. I would say that this is the perfect place for those you wanted to have a quick escape from the bustling city and just unplug. Just less than 2 hours away from Manila, it is a serene and quiet sanctuary away from the city that will surely let your worries and stresses away.






The resort has a huge land area and it is decorated with intricate designs and hindu-like structures. I felt relaxed as soon as you step down your car and received their welcome drinks. Speaking of warm welcome, aside from the staffs of the resort, you were also welcomed by the animals freely moving around the area. Chickens, geese and a llama are just some of the animals you can see in this resort.  You were like in some sort of farm/zoo but in a grand venue.






So if you’re just looking for adventure, I would say that this place is not for you. If you just want to see it or experience a Balinese vibe resort then go here for a day tour. But, if you want to unwind, have a peaceful getaway and unplug then I strongly encourage you to book a room at Cintai Coritos.










The place has also a lovely outdoor spa offering massage and other spa services to the delight of its guests. They have a well-trained therapists. A perfect way to end your day!

Every year, Alitagtag municipality celebrates the Filipino tradition of Tapusan. And this tradition increasingly flourishing and becomes more vibrant through the years. The Tapusan is held every last day of May. This activity include flower arrangement at church, procession of floats containing floral arrangements, replicas of beautiful landscapes in the Philippines, images and statue of the Virgin Mary and sagala’s of citizens of Alitagtag. In Alitagtag, there is only one road in town, running east to west. Spectators usually go to the middle of the town to catch a glimpse of all eight floats, one for each village or “buklod”. Everybody in the parade walks slowly as they say the rosary. The band will be playing behind the float after each decade of the rosary. It is a very moving and festive experience. Being a legitimate  Tanaueño , I observed a lot of changes from our town.  Victory Mall is one of the Big Project of our Late Tanauan City Mayor Thony Halili .
