Makin' A Splash in Batangas


Want to go to Boracay to unwind but short on budget and time? Don’t worry because Batangas is the best place for you. Like Boracay, the province of Batangas has also many beautiful beaches to offer. Aside from that, Batangas is only 1.5 hrs away from Manila. More convenient than going to Bora. Here are some beaches in the province that are worth visiting:


1                  1. LAIYA






Laiya beach, located at the Municipality of San Juan, is one of the most popular beach destinations in the Philippines. It is also known for its white powder-like sand and clear water. The beach offers resorts and hotels that can fit to your budget, from affordable to high-end resorts. Aside from swimming, there are other activities that you can enjoy in the beach like jet ski and banana boat riding. Laiya is only 2.5 – 3 hr-drive away from Manila.

How to Get There: from Manila (Cubao or Buendia), take an ALPS bus bound to San Juan, Batangas. Then take a jeepney going to Laiya beach.


2                  2. CALATAGAN


Calatagan is also known for its white sand and long shoreline. Because it is located in the western part of the province, it can offer you the best sunset in the country. And like Laiya, there are also many beaches in Calatagan that are worth visiting.

How to Get There: from Manila (Buendia or Cubao), take a bus bound to Calatagan. Then take a tricycle or jeepney that will take you to resorts.

              3. ANILAO, MABINI



Anilao, known by many as the birthplace of scuba diving in the Philippines, offers you great sceneries and enjoyable activities such as island hopping, snorkelling and diving. For trekkers, Anilao offers you a climb in Gulugod Baboy with amazing view of Anilao beaches and other parts of Batangas province.

How to Get There: from Manila (Buendia or Cubao), take a bus bound to Batangas Grand Terminal. From there, ride a jeepney going to Mabini. Lastly, ride a tricycle that will take you to Anilao.
