“#LalakingLayas”
Let’s escape the Metro and go down south. This time let’s choose Quezon Province, my hometown. For many, to travel is to wander, for some, it’s a form of relaxation. But for me, it’s my way to catch a breath of fresh air. Take it from a corporate slave like me J LOLS
Quezon is dubbed as the “Land of Thousand Colors”. Want to know the reason why? Or should I say “reasons” why? That’s right with “S” hehe; this is the province that will let you experience not just its natural beauty but also the hospitality of the locals; from each town’s own festivals to its cuisine and influences, tradition, history, and culture.
So let’s start with our adventure, shall we? Wear your most comfortable clothes and make sure your gadgets are fully charged to take shots of those endless picturesque sceneries. To give you a heads up, in our way you will surely notice Quezon is so rich in coconut trees and in fact, it’s almost everywhere. And if you want to taste the provincial life, buy fresh buko juice, take a sip and eat its white soft meat. The best way would be eating directly from the fruit shell. Not just cheap but very healthy for your body. A very delicious quencher and a sought-after drink especially during summer.
Before we go elsewhere, let’s take our first stop at Sariaya, as what they say “wag maging dayuhan sa sariling bayan” J Time to discover this first class municipality and see it for yourself. Here you won’t get cold and never be bored.
This is the town proper of Sariaya, lots of heritage houses. If Batangas has Taal, and Ilocos has Vigan. Well, what else can I say, Quezon is proud to have Sariaya. This town has preserved well its ancestral houses, truly a remarkable inheritance and a proof of vast culture from the past. What a blast?! Because of this, Sariaya is known as “Heritage Town of Quezon” & Art Deco Capital of Southern Luzon”
Also located in the town proper is the stone church built in 1748, St. Francis of Assisi Parish Church. This is another historical landmark of Sariaya, religious heritance from the colonization of the Spaniards. I would just like to share it with you, if you are to enter any church for the first time it is the best time kneel and pray for your wish will come true J
Now, let’s seize every moment and take a route to glimpse the hidden mangrove forest. And who would have thought Sariaya has this?! And guess what, it is approximately 15 hectares in Bgry. Talaan. Greener is better!
Haven’t had enough water? Time to dive into this “Maliking Tubig River”. A clean and refreshing body of flowing water at the boundary of Sariaya & San Juan, Batangas. Look deeper into nature as you are surrounded by verdant plains and tall trees. Take a gulp and take a breath. One, two, three splash!
Guys, we still have other options if you are lacking in #VitaminSea, lols. A daily dose of #VitaminSea isn’t a problem here in Sariaya. It’s very easy to get there. Feel the sand on your feet, salt in your hair and warm of the sun on your skin J Just tan responsibly, lols. Either sunrise or sunset, Sariaya beach in Brgy. Gui-guis is full of breeze and you’re at ease.
All these and more Sariaya & Quezon has for you. For now, let’s call it a day. And let’s go home where we belong. Traveling from new places to places is my cause but also owning a home to call my own is also on my bucket list. I’m planning to live and invest in Lumina Homes Sariaya. A wise investment because it’s along the highway and also has a very beautiful scenic view outside because of the majestic Mt. Banahaw which I can see every day. So why just visit Sariaya if you can live here? J
Till our next adventure, I’m sure you want more. Don’t worry because our #TravelGoals is for real and it has only just begun.
